Senioritis

The term “senioritis” is a common affliction describing the lack of motivation felt by students who are reaching the end of their courses. Many seniors experience this and are told not to let it affect them but for many it can be hard. School staff wants seniors to avoid this, but how can they avoid, prevent, and get back on track.
Seniors begin to start counting down the days until they graduate. The number of days left going down can also equal motivation going down with it. Some symptoms of senioritis are dropping grades, not getting assignments completed, and procrastinating or loss of interest.
You can “cure” and avoid senioritis by doing a couple of things that are proven to help. The first tip is to set goals for yourself, begin setting goals by reminding yourself that you are doing this for a reason, and you are working toward a future. Things you do in high school carry over into colleges, one of those being grades, don’t let senioritis ruin your chances of getting into your dream college and career. The next thing you can do to help is create a schedule,
A common misconception is that you can’t do well in school and still have fun… but you can! Avoid putting homework off by creating a schedule that includes setting a time each day that you will sit down and accomplish schoolwork, along with a designated place. When you do this, you will feel more organized and you will know when you have free time, this allows you to still go out with friends, but also do well in school.
While you may not see it now, this can and will affect your future if you can’t get it under control. If you don’t enjoy your senior year now you will regret it later in life.
