The Saint Thomas More Chapter of the National Honor Society was established at Sacred Heart in 1984. Since that time numerous Sacred Heart students have been members of this prestigious society. The Saint Thomas More Chapter of the National Honor Society is committed to the development of the whole individual; spiritually, academically, physically, and mentally. We are committed to service in our school, church and community.
Membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) is an honor bestowed upon a student. Selection for membership is by a special faculty council and is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership and service. Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate these qualities. Candidates become members when inducted at a special ceremony. Only sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible for nomination to NHS. Candidates must have a cumulative scholastic average of at least 90% to be eligible for the National Honor Society.
