Sacred Heart’s Roh Activity Center has had a busy two weeks. For the first time, we hosted the girls’ and boys’ sub-district tournaments, as well as the girls’ district final on Friday night. On Monday, we will host the boys’ district final. This marks six home NSAA games over the past two weeks. Additionally, just a few weeks ago, we hosted our school’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Booster Auction and Fun Night.

The RAC was dedicated in August 2015. When teams and spectators first experience the facility, it provides an opportunity to showcase a venue that benefits our students, their families, and our community. Originally, the plan was to construct a shed with a court inside to address practice scheduling challenges, allowing basketball teams to avoid late practices past 7:30 PM. However, a strategic decision was made during 2013-14 to build a comprehensive gymnasium, complete with a kitchen, lunchroom, mezzanine weight room, and locker rooms.

Over the past decade, we have made several enhancements to the RAC. The addition of a video board has been a significant upgrade. We have also improved the sound system, installed NSAA-required shot clocks, and added a Hudl camera for livestreaming games and events. Furthermore, we have updated and expanded our weight room equipment. We appreciate everyone who donated toward these improvements. Maintaining our facility is a priority, and our students contribute greatly by cleaning and helping set up for games.
